There are various translation methods used to translate crypto terms in Chinese.
Some crypto Chinese translations are by transliteration (音译, based on phonetic similarity), for example:
- Bitcoin (比特币)
- Ethereum (以太坊)
- Polkadot (波卡)
While other crypto Chinese translations are based on sense-for-sense translation (意译), for instance:
- Non-fungible token, NFT (非同质化代币)
- Parachain (平行链)
- Proof of stake (权益证明)
